Jeremy has lusted--and loved--Jax for years. He's made it a habit of visiting Robbie Sexton's tattoo parlor, where Jax works, just to get close to the dark-skinned god of his dreams. When his friends decide to play matchmakers, Jeremy knows it's time to go for it. This year's Halloween party will be one he--and Jax--never forget.

This short story is set in the Hearth & Home world, and includes cameos by several favorites.

Book Review

'Worth the Wait' is a short, fun story about two men who have been secretly (or less secretly) lusting after each other for a long time. I loved the idea that Jeremy keeps coming back for more tattoos just so he can see Jax. The scene when they finally admit what's what to each other was very hot – and all they did was kiss. But I could feel the passion between them practically jumping off the pages. Unfortunately they get interrupted by another client.

Luckily they pick things up right where they left off at the Halloween party the next day. I loved the idea of their matching costumes, not that they stayed on very long. The guest room and understanding hosts definitely cam in handy and the explosion of passion once the door is closed definitely made this a very hot read.

Fans of the 'Hearth and Home' series will probably enjoy the reappearance of favorite characters, but this also reads well as a standalone. None of the appearances are more than 'friends checking in' with the main characters and all are sufficiently explained not to make it an issue. If you're looking for a short, hot read, if you like your characters to be passionate and very much in love, and if you enjoy parties with lots of action on the side, you will probably like this story.
