Team medic and wind elemental Shannon thinks he's missed out on the dragon bonding thing the rest of his team has going on. He's a little jealous of all his buddies who have hooked up with their human mates, too.
Tech guy and electrical whiz Gig thinks Shannon is a stud, and he's determined to find the man his dragon and to get Shannon in his bed. They find each other, but they have to hope it's not too late when more and more soldiers show up on the dragons' mountain.
The whole El Ops team will have to pull together to make their dragons vanish so they can keep everyone safe.
So far, the team of secretive elemental operatives who stumbled on a group of dragons and their Guardian, have fought off smaller attacks of various groups interested in the dragons. This time, they are facing the big guns—and it is all hands on deck. The story focuses on team medic Shannon and tech guy Gig finally figuring out they belong together, but Ice, Keon, and the others are back as well. And there is even an additional hint at the end that promises another series of stories in this amazing world of fairy tale creatures set in the framework of a modern-day adventure!
Shannon is a medic and a wind elemental, but he hasn’t figured out that he is bonded to a dragon just like the majority of the other elemental operatives in this increasingly close team. He secretly has a crush on Gig, but he has never made a move. I love that Gig was the one who figured out how to find Shannon his dragon, and once that happens, the channel of communication between the two men also opens up.
Gig is a tech wiz with electricity as a talent, and that comes in extremely useful a times. He also has a crush on Shannon, but is too shy to do something about it. When he does, after helping Shannon find his dragon, the sparks fly in more than one way. Unfortunately, their enemies won’t stop trying to get at the dragons, so they need a plan.
If you like elemental powers and mystical dragons appeal to you, if you enjoy stories where long-held crushes finally transform into a loving relationship, and if you’re looking for an imaginative read that is as hot as it is suspenseful, then you will probably like this short story.
