Dallon Tiber has never been to the bondage club before. But a gift certificate for the Valentine's Day special has him crossing the club's threshold. Dallon, a lifelong Dominant, is about to submit like he's never submitted before. But how will this experience affect his relationship with Avery, his long-time sub and partner?

Book Review

A short story that feels longer than its 25 pages, this tale focuses on a Dom's need for a change. Dallon has a hidden desire to submit, but doesn't know how to deal with it, how to go about it, and is afraid of the consequences. He definitely thinks he cannot trust his lover and sub, Avery with his fantasies. A mysterious Valentines gift seems like the solution, and he goes to the club for his "appointment" still undecided as to whether this will be a good thing. Only his deep need drives him forward.

Once there, the mystery doesn’t stop. His trepidation increases when he realizes this is about to become real, and as soon as he enters the designated room he will be out of control. The conflict he feels is really well described and when the full impact hits him he says it best himself: "It was exactly what he’d wanted. But he’d wanted to be in control of his loss of control, and it sounded like that wasn’t going to happen." It made me laugh out loud, but it is so true! That is exactly how someone who is always in control would feel in the face of his own upcoming surrender.

The scene itself, and the way the "Dom for hire" breaks him until he can actually submit is very hot, almost sensual even. The description of Dallon's relief when he can finally let go is amazing. And the solution after that is perfect as well. It comes with a little twist, but I totally loved it!

If you like stories about men trying new things, even if they scare them, if you enjoy reading about a Dom switching to "the other side", and if you're looking for a short, hot, well-written read that will make you smile, you should try this short story. I definitely enjoyed it.
