Book Blurb

The one thing Savannah didn’t plan for on her wedding day was to be left standing alone at the altar. Runaway bride? Try runaway groom.

Haley had planned to stand at her best friend’s side through sickness and health, for richer or poorer…not to mention watching the woman she fell in love with marry a man she barely gets along with.

After Savannah’s wedding day falls apart Haley has to push all her intimate desires to the side and be the supportive friend she knows Savannah needs. But was suggesting they turn her would-be honeymoon into a vacation to Bora Bora her brightest idea?

When emotions boil over, desires are shared—hello, nipple play and oral teasing—and the sun and sand beckon. And two women discover they need each other more than they realized.

Book Review

There are few things more painful than being left at the altar. Savannah is all decked out in a perfectly dazzling wedding gown waiting to say her final vows, when the guy she thought she knew and loved bolts. Awfulness personified! How does she pick up the pieces? It helps that her maid of honor is also her bestest friend. She scrambles to get the honeymoon of all honeymoons that she had booked for Savannah re-shuffled so the rebuffed bride and maid of honor can just take a truly pure, recuperative, and simple vacation. Certainly helps when your bestest friend is a travel agent, too. There is one potentially major complication. Savannah's best friend is hopelessly in love with her. Oh my! This should be a very interesting, unexpected vacation. Let the healing begin!

Savannah Montero is plus-size only because the definition says size fourteen is the start of *plus sizes*. What Savannah certainly has is a plus-size heart! She and her best friend sort of...kind of...experimented in college with being gently intimate with each other. Savannah feels and knows she has a connection to Haley, but has either downplayed it or filed it away as a college thing. Well, with the catastrophe at her wedding and then actually converting her honeymoon into an unexpected vacation, she has tried to come to terms with her feelings for her best friend. The recuperative time away at an ideal, exotic honeymoon location produces all manner of enlightenments and insights. I definitely liked Savannah as her feeling stature just expanded and solidified. Extraordinary!

Haley treasures that experimental intimacy she shared with Savannah during their college years and savors its memory. Actually, no one has come close to Savannah for the all the women and a few guys with whom she has had a relationship. When Savannah's wedding collapses in a most painful way, Haley cannot deny that she experiences a resurgence of hope. She knows she has to keep that locked away while she helps her best friend recover from this nearly devastating public humiliation. However, Haley does not have the best reputation for editing her emotional outbursts and often cringes with trepidation about how her latest foot-in-mouth event might impact everyone in the vicinity. Haley is just one superlatively delightful and passionate person. I simply loved her, while crossing my fingers and sending many prayers to the powers that be that she can connect to the embers of love she has nurtured in her heart for years and years. Spectacular!

Bora Bora is really one amazing vacation spot. Somewhat unfortunately, it takes four plane hops to get there and Savannah gets rather nervous when flying. So many lows and highs pop up throughout this story giving it such a natural and entertaining quality. This is a novella bursting with emotional events and yet some purely fine fun. I recommend it for its unexpectedly satisfying highs, lows, twists, and turns. It is satisfyingly engaging. Charming!
