Lauren is in trouble. Only the adoption agency lady knows the heartbreaking decision she’s making. But every baby deserves a father and Lauren’s ex isn’t stepping up to the plate. Without a dad for her child, Lauren doesn’t feel she can give her baby what he or she deserves. When her mother sends her to the Castillo resort in Castle, Alaska to help with a holiday celebration, Lauren jumps at the chance to forget her worries.

Jorell’s career is soaring. In charge of development for the Castillo Resorts Caribbean region, the only thing on his mind is pursuing a vice presidency. Not romance. But a forced transfer to the frozen north throws him—and his prospects off-kilter.

Zachary lives near Castle, Alaska, but the fishing guide has had little success finding a social life and fears his interest in both men and women may be too wild for the wilderness.

Two men and one pregnant woman…in charge of the holiday activities at the Christmas Extravaganza at Castle Lodge. Friendship and intense attraction blooms between them. But Madame Eve has her work cut out for her…will Jorell and Zach provide enough reasons for Lauren to change her mind?

Book Review

It’s been a while since I read one of the 1 Night Stand stories, and ‘Two Dads for Christmas’ was a very fun way to be reminded of how touching, hot, and amusing they can be. This one is set in Alaska, starts at the end of November, and snow is already all over the place. No worries about whether or not there will be a white Christmas! As I briefly got to know each of the three main characters, it became clear pretty quickly that they were all but waiting for the mysterious Madame Eve to work her magic. Each of them has a particular issue, with Lauren’s probably the most serious, and only the three of them together will be able to deal with what they’re facing. It was a lot of fun to watch them get to know each other and realize how much better they’d be off together than on their own.

Zachary, a fishing guide, is bisexual and not sure he’ll ever be able to find someone to make him happy. Despite the fact that friends of his are in a happy, committed triad, Zachary doesn’t really consider the same option for himself until he meets Jorell and Lauren. And even then, he isn’t sure whom he wants more. A permanent relationship with both of them is the last thing he expects when his parents volunteer him for the decorating committee for the local lodge’s pre-Christmas festivities…

Jorell works for a resort company and is hoping for a vice presidency once he finishes his current project. Instead, out of the blue, he is sent to Alaska just after Thanksgiving, pretty much against his will. His career is more important to him than dealing with freezing his *ss off, so he goes where his boss sends him. His only concern is how to do what he is told as fast as possible, so he can get back to the Caribbean - where he belongs.

Lauren is visiting her aunt to escape work stress and to have some time to consider what to do about the baby she is expecting – since its father wants nothing to do with it. She is pretty sure she wants to give the baby up for adoption, especially when she sees Zach and Jorell getting along so well, better than she gets along with either of them. And how is she supposed to decide between them anyway, even if they were interested in her?

If you like Christmas-y stories with a few surprises, if you think three lonely people are just the right combination for a wonderful relationship, and if you’re looking for an entertaining read with lots of loving, then you might like this short story.
