Book Review

Valentine's Day isn’t for everyone, at least, not the perfect kind that makes you swoon and want more. Cody has been known to have bad ones, and his determination to make this year's perfect is almost funny. The need to have a romantic day is clearly present in Jaime as well, but he has a different way of going about it. Some couples just have to find their feet where celebrating holidays is concerned, and this is one such couple's story.

Cody has been with Jaime for almost a year, and loves him deeply, He wants everything to be perfect for Jamie, but considering the fact that he isn’t exactly a success in the kitchen, I thought that the idea of making truffles for Jamie was a little – risky. As predicted, it all goes horribly wrong, starting with the shopping for ingredients, but the wonderful descriptions and Cody's sense of humor made it fun to read.

Jamie is cool, calm and collected, and very touched that Cody tried. For him, their relationship is about doing other things together and, while chocolate plays a role in the scene he comes up with, their play is more about being together and driving each other mad with desire than any material gifts.

If you like stories that make you laugh, if you enjoy a bit of kinky play, and if you're looking for a short, sweet Valentine's read with a loving couple, then you will probably like this short story.
