Book Review

The focus of this book is the tentative and slow discovery of some kinky D/s elements in an established relationship. Hunter doing a lot of business travel and Kyle working as a personal shopper but based at home, the exploration starts with Hunter discovering and exploring a chat room. I loved his initial reactions, which were entirely unexpected, then his incredulity grows as he figures out how hot the activities makes him. The one drawback is his feeling of “almost-cheating” and not sharing his discoveries with Kyle – a man he loves deeply.

Once Hunter comes home and figures out his newfound interest is shared by Kyle, I liked how careful they both are of each other, how they introduced the D/s elements on top of and around the deep love between them. While this is not an exciting or tension-filled book with lots of action and plot twists, it was a joy to see the characters changing as they opened up to each other and began to explore their own deeper desires. The result was, of course, some very hot sex scenes, but the real payoff was in the vulnerability and deeper emotions they explored. It infuses their relationship with new passion, desire, and more heat than should be legal!

If you like established couples who discover how hot D/s can be as part of their love play, if you want to find out more about two men who have known each other intimately for quite a while before they take things in a different direction, and if you’re looking for a short super-hot read with lots of kink and some spicy D/s, then you will probably like this short story.
