Book Blurb

Closing up the Shibari Auction House on Christmas Eve, manager Yves is looking forward to his hot turkey dinner and a week off when he's propositioned by a young man, offering blow jobs. Yves doesn't need to pay for sex, but he can't leave the young hooker out on the street on Christmas Eve.

Tony's been on the street for a long time, and now he's also on the run from his pimp. When the tall dude agrees to pay him five hundred dollars for the night, and then takes him home and feeds him instead of fucking him, he's worried it's too good to be true. He's waiting for the other shoe to drop and for Yves to turn out to be a serial killer.

Can anything real come out of this chance meeting?

Book Review

This newest installment of the ‘Shibari Auction House’ series is somewhat different from the previous volumes. Not only did I find out more about the manager, Yves, but the story is also a very sweet hurt/comfort romance with no BDSM at all. Yves may behave like a Dom in terms of “taking care of Tony”, but there aren’t any scenes, not even D/s –other than the pet name for Tony, which is “boy”.

Tony has survived some tough times. With no home to go to, and surviving on the streets since he was fourteen, his expectations are pretty low. Someone being nice “just because” isn’t something he can imagine. Trust is even less on his radar. So when Yves offers to feed him, and give him a roof over his head, Tony doesn’t quite believe there isn’t a catch. I loved watching him gradually begin to believe that Yves just might be serious about what he offers.

Yves likes his job, but he is looking forward to having a break from it all. He is also a genuinely nice man, and the offer for Tony to spend Christmas with him is a natural one for Yves to make. But Yves is also lonely, so since Tony is there and turns out to be someone Yves genuinely likes, his thoughts turn more long-term.

If you like chance meetings leading to more, if you enjoy love at first sight stories, and if you’re looking for a read that is as sweet as it is charming, then you will probably like this short story.
