Book Blurb

Felix Cotter is a top-notch insurance investigator, as well as a beast ... of some kind. He has no idea who his real parents are, but when he shifts, Felix has the body of a black panther and the head and paws of a white Bengal tiger. Weird shifter mix aside, Felix is hot on the trail of a thief.

But this thief smells like mate. Felix has never met another creature like him, so he’s not sure what to think of the wet dreams he’s been having ever since he’s been on this case. His adopted father, Ben Cotter, keeps telling him to man up and figure it out, already.

Felix finally comes face to face with burglar Tyler Panterone, a white panther shifter. Tyler is being forced to steal against his will. Now, it’s up to Felix to help Tyler, and then claim the man as his own, for always.

Book Review

‘To Catch His Mate’ is a great title for a story that focuses on catching a thief, and has two catshifters as its main characters. The mystery about who is behind the series of burglaries, the insurance fraud, and the personal connection between the insurance investigator and the thief all made this a suspenseful story with more than one twist and turn.

Felix has secrets. He doesn’t know his parents, but suspects they abandoned him at a young age, possibly because he is a catshifter. Ben, a man who lives in the mountains, finds him, raises him, and teaches him about controlling his ability. Now Felix is an insurance investigator, and his extra abilities come in very handy when solving cases. This latest one comes close to defeating him, but Felix isn’t one to give up!

Tyler is in trouble, and he hates having to steal so the real criminals won’t kill him. He is relieved, in a way, when Felix finds out the truth, and does everything he can to help catch the masterminds behind the crimes. The price he pays when the police takes over is high, and I did not like that one bit. I hated that Felix didn’t even try to help either!

If you like crime mysteries with clever twists and turns, if two men who are made for each other yet face real-world obstacles before they can be together are your thing, and if you’re looking for a suspenseful read with more than one emotional moment and several very hot bedroom encounters, then you might like this novella.
