Book Blurb

Liam Scott is sick. That’s not supposed to be possible. As a wolf shifter, he’s supposed to be able to heal. The omega gene he was born with means he’s capable of carrying shifter young and Liam is worried that whatever is wrong will mean his one-day hope of having pups will be dashed. But despite the fears keeping him away from the doctor until now, he knows he needs to go.

It turns out the sickness is temporary, but the treatment causes a whole other problem.

Mason’s alpha gene means he’s one of very few wolves who can impregnate an omega male. For two years, he’d been watching Liam, but things kept getting in the way. When Liam shows up in heat, Mason recognizes the opportunity he needs and doesn’t hesitate make to Liam his mate and the father of his pups.

But Liam has old wounds and fears to work through which the pregnancy is only making worse, and Mason isn’t sure how to get past them to show he’s serious about making a life together as loving mates. It’s not until a female wolf decides Mason should be hers that Liam makes his biggest worry known—and Mason can finally put the fears to rest.

Book Review

You can imagine my absolute squeals of delight when I discovered that a favored author of mine, the very talented Grace R. Duncan, had written another shifter story involving an alpha, an omega, and mpreg. I honestly can't seem to get enough of this genre. I might be a wee bit obsessed. Regardless, Liam sounded adorable, Mason seemed like a good man, and I was super excited to see them get their happy ever after.

I completely fell in love with Liam… on like page three. I know, I know. It seems as if I do that all the time with omegas, but believe me when I say Liam is fabulous and he had me at "Until then, I would really prefer to keep my ass to myself." Mason pretty much just had me. Super hot, sexy beyond belief, but nice, and sweet, especially his feelings for Liam which Mason has been harboring for a couple of years. Their first time together? Freaking off the charts blazing hot while also so darn sweet!

Liam has so many insecurities that he broke my heart time and again. His alpha father bred his omega father and then left, not wanting to mate him. This has colored so much of Liam's thinking that even though Mason mates him and makes it plain that he wants to, and has been wanting to date him, Liam is still unsure. I loved that Mason was determined to prove to Liam how much he cared for him and how quickly Mason was falling in love.

"I was already starting to care for him and had a suspicion love wasn’t far behind. But I didn’t think he’d want to hear it, certainly not yet. And, I knew actions spoke louder than words did, so I’d just have to show him."

Ohhhhh… what a love story. So much thanks to the author for actually going through the whole pregnancy with all the myriad things that accompany it from needing a bigger house, all the basics, the pregnancy hormones, and both men's insecurities. It's something I never get in an mpreg story, certainly not to this degree and it loved it. In fact, I loved everything about this tale from the characters to the dialogue to the plot, the birth, and all the feels. The epilogue was perfect!

It was beautiful all the way through. Thank you, Grace.
