Plum is as good a thief as any he's ever met, aided by the fact that he has a little magic to his light fingers. So when he's hired to steal a wizard's treasure, he doesn't think twice.
Corm is no regular wizard, though, and he finds Plum absolutely enchanting, deciding he must have the pretty thief at all costs. When secrets arise between them, Corm finds he might lose everything he's worked so hard to gain with Plum, and he has to summon more than just his magic to set it right.

Pairing a wizard and a thief isn’t exactly the most obvious idea, so of course I had to check out this story. Plum, the naughty thief, and Corm, the secretive wizard, had me laughing from the first pages of the book. Plum is just so charmingly daring and convinced of his own abilities, and Corm is clearly powerful and more than a little mysterious and secretive. Their meeting results in a delightful romp of hot bedsport (lots of it!), witty banter, and an unexpected touch of romance.
Plum is self-confident and proud about his abilities. The magick he has, little though it may be, is a definite advantage in his job, as it helps him be invisible, enter places he shouldn’t get into, and escape the dicey situations even he, no doubt, gets himself into occasionally. Stealing a wizard’s most prized possession is right up his alley and he throws himself into the task with enthusiasm and cunning.
Corm is relaxed about the whole situation, and as soon as he has caught the thief in flagrante, he makes sure the man cannot escape. Interestingly Corm seems to be after Plum’s body more than anything else, and the ensuing kisses soon lead to a lot more. Repeatedly. He says he wants to explore Plum’s secrets, but considering he has a few of his own, that “game” soon turns serious. And when the rules change, both of them are as surprised with the results as I was.
If you like romances with a touch of humor, if you enjoy reading about men who don’t expect to become a couple and are shocked when it happens anyway, and if you’re looking for a light, entertaining read about men and the magick they can make together, then you will probably enjoy this short story.
