Book Blurb

For their ninth anniversary, Chuck scrimped and saved to buy Milton a sexy leather bomber jacket which Milton not only refused to wear, but which very nearly caused the break-up of their relationship. Imagine Chuck’s surprise when he comes home early one afternoon to find the jacket he thought Milton gave away draped over the back of a kitchen chair and Milton nowhere to be found.

Has the jacket come back to haunt him like a bad penny, or is something else going on with Milton that Chuck knows nothing about?

Book Review

Keeping secrets in a relationship is not a good idea, or is it? What about a secret that is too painful to reveal, or one that actually respects the partner's inability to talk about it? How abut when that secret almost tears the relationship apart?

Charles is not a secretive guy at all. He is open, not overly organized an he is so in love with Milton it hurts. The rejected leather jacket, the one he bought Milton for their ninth anniversary, almost does their relationship in, but luckily, love prevails. Charles hates secrets with a vengeance, and really wants to know why Milton rejected his gift. But Milton doesn’t budge. Then one day, Charles finds out the reason for Milton's issues from the man's mother – and now he's in trouble. Does he reveal his understanding? His first instinct, being who he is, says "hell yes". But when he starts thinking about it, he gains a new level of understanding. Some secrets may just be meant to be kept.

If you like stories with an interpersonal mystery at their heart, if you enjoy the odd unexpected twist, and if you enjoy watching the main character discover something new and learn from it, then you will probably like this story.
