Bob is lost in grief, Sam is fighting for his life, and there is no middle ground. Can their love survive?

Bob is grieving over his brother’s sacrifice. Guilt-ridden and devastated, he buries himself in vampire mourning and pulls away from Sam.

Magic tears Sam from the vampire castle and he has to face new adversaries alone, when all he wants is Bob at his side.

Ettore is in the Aset Ka waiting room, next in line for the ceremony for his soul to be torn from his body. Aset Ka has other plans, and Ettore finds himself reunited with a lost love and fighting alongside his brother.

A forgotten past binds Theodore ‘Teddy’ McCurray Constantine III to Ettore, and with the curse tied to Ettore broken by his death, Teddy’s past returns to him with a vengeance.

A royal family in denial, a battle between gods, and long forgotten love leaves no time for Sam and Bob to take a breath. Is it too late to save the supernatural world?

Book Review

I was so sad to begin reading 'The Case of the Guilty Ghost'. Not only because of the developments at the end of the previous installment, but also because I had no idea whether the authors plan to write more in this wonderful series. I certainly hope they do because Sam, Bob, and the entire gang are funny, witty, adorable, and provide a ton of enjoyment.

Poor Bob. He's devastated over his brother, Ettore's, sacrifice and subsequent death. He's in mourning - an ancient vampire ritual that mutes the mate bond - and Sam is freaking out. He's positive that something has happened and Bob needs him. Following what he believes is Bob's voice in his head, crying for help, leads Sam to… trouble, with a capital T. And why wouldn't it? This is Sam. When Sam finds out what Teddy, the ghost in his house, has to say, Sam is more than a little shocked.

Meanwhile, Ettore's soul is with Aset Ka, the vampire god, and he sends Ettore back to the corporeal world, for seven days only, to investigate a disturbance he has felt. (Yes, it totally was a Star Wars moment!) Sam isn't one for coincidences, and neither is Ettore, having been vampire king for so long, and so for Sam to discover that Teddy is Ettore's mate who was killed by Ettore's younger brother a century ago… hmmm… something smells rather rotten there. Now Ettore is wondering if Aset Ka sent him to get Sam's soul for the vampire god.

Oh, such excitement! Radim, Bob and Ettore's younger brother coming back to claim the kingdom, infected with vile, dark magic, and wizards he holds in thrall to do his bidding should have been bad enough, but it's never easy in this fascinating world. There's a kidnapping, bribery, revenge, some really freaky mojo going on with Sam and his powers, and an unexpected relative of Sam's who gives him all the background on being the seventh descendant after seven centuries of breeding. That's all I'm saying, by the way.

This was so amazing, but I'm really sad now. I definitely got the impression that this is the end and I hate that. I stumbled onto this series and couldn't read the books fast enough. Sam, Bob, Smudge, and all the interesting and wonderful characters who made up these stories, brought the whole world to life. Thank you to the authors for such an incredible gift!
