Book Blurb

A photography student gets more than he bargains for when he photographs a blond Polish butcher, who he has sex with in the back of the butcher shop; a ginger-haired Irish baker, who he has sex with in the back of the bakery; and a brunette British candlestick maker, who he has sex with in the back of the candle shop. All of the men photographed are in period costume and all have tricks up their sleeves—and, of course, down their pants. In the end, a budding romance evolves between the student and the butcher.

Book Review

When I pick up one of Rob Rosen’s stories, be it short or a longer work, I am always sure it will be at the very least entertaining, and possibly erotic and funny as well. ‘The Butcher, the Baker, the Candlestick Maker’ was no different, and while the original nursery rhyme this story’s title is based on was not naughty, Rob Rosen managed to spin a tale that is definitely erotic, very funny, and is ideal if you’re looking for a quick, entertaining tale.

Aaron is a photography student determined to get an A for his “Trio” assignment. His brainstorming process as he explores the city with his bicycle is fun, but he rejects a lot of possibilities as unsuitable for his lofty goals. Then he finds a mall dedicated to tradesmen and craft “as they used to be” and he knows this is exactly what he was looking for. A butcher, a baker, and a candlestick maker’s store sit right next to each other, and he manages to convince all three men to participate in his project. His three sessions turn out very different from what he had planned: wonderfully varied, utterly hot, and leaving him in no doubt which of the three men he wants to get more closely acquainted with. Such fun!

If you want a look behind the scenes of three professionals as seen through a photography student’s lens, if you like naughty tales and naughtier men, and if you’re looking for a read that is as funny as it is hot, then you will probably like this short story.
