Book Review

I really liked this story. It is well written, thoughtful, has a main character who learns something about himself, there is great Christmas spirit – and it is funny to boot! It is also about a man still struggling to accept himself (and his differences from other gay men) ten years after moving away from the town (and his all-straight friends) he thought was at fault for him being miserable.

Matt has a great sense of humor and his ability to critically analyze himself is priceless. He calls himself ‘the worst gay guy’, bitches about his family and still dreams about the boy he admired from afar when he was in high school. He is at the point when he realizes he might be meant to be unhappy when his life finally changes.

Tyler was really funny as well. He hasn’t been very lucky in life so far, but isn’t blaming everyone else. He is trying to make the best of it and when he runs into Matt again, he grabs the bull by the horns, so to speak. Thank God he did, Matt might still be thinking about it otherwise!

If you like stories that make you laugh, if you want a character who changes from miserable to happy as you watch, if you’re looking for Christmas spirit and a happy ending – this is the story for you!
