My name is Damon. I keep busy with freelance photography and taking in foster kids. After all, having those kids in my home is the closest I’ll ever come to a family—a fact I’ve accepted since I was a teenager. One car accident ended all of those dreams.
Dating is out for omegas like me, at least, I’ve made it my rule. An alpha craves an omega who can give him a family. And I’m just fine with my life. My work makes it possible for me to give the kids I take in lots of time, something they need and deserve. Most of them haven’t had an easy life. And Robbie...my current foster child needs my love and care more than any of the others so far. I thought I had it all figured out, but meeting Patrick has thrown me for a loop.
Patrick deserves more than a lesser omega, a broken shell of who I should be. But I can’t help myself. His searing looks plus that signature pumpkin spice scent demand I pay attention. Pursue him. See if there is a chance he could be mine.
Autumn brings with it cooler days, but with Patrick in my life, the nights only grow hotter.
The Alpha’s Autumn-Kissed Omega is a MM, non-shifter, Mpreg Romance, the first in the Alpha Kissed Series which may be read as a standalone.
Sweet romances definitely have a place in my heart, and ‘The Alpha’s Autumn-Kissed Omega’ fits that description to a T. With two lonely main characters who don’t even know what they are missing until they meet each other, a cute kid who needs to have something good happen in his life, and wonderful friends who tease and support the couple, this story is filled with cuteness. There is a little tension too, and for a while I wasn’t too sure that things wouldn’t get ugly, but even that situation is resolved in a unique way that made me smile.
Damon is an omega with a big heart for children, but the fact that he was told he would never be able to have kids of his own due to an accident means that part of his heart is missing. He makes up for it by taking in foster children, but it’s not the same since they usually leave again. Damon is a freelance photographer who makes a decent living, believes dating is not for him, and is utterly shocked when he meets an alpha who is more than interested in him.
Patrick is an alpha who won’t admit he is lonely, a dentist specializing in children, and a man who makes sure his patients don’t get traumatized when they come in for treatment. He denies that he is lonely, but when he meets Damon that suddenly changes. He hesitates to even date, but Fate has other ideas and they quickly begin to grow closer. The fact that Damon has a wonderful foster son, Robbie, makes everything even better, as far as Patrick is concerned.
There are a few complications on the way. Some imagined and some real, but once Damon and Patrick decide they belong together, they are able to pool their resources and it becomes easier to deal with the challenges. There are also a few extremely nice surprises, and the balance was just right for me.
If you like your romances sweet, emotional, and touching, if you want to watch two men fall for each other without being able (or willing) to stop themselves, and if you’re looking for an entertaining read about wonderful men and a super-cute kid, then you will probably like this novella. It’s as warm as a sunny autumn day.
