It's been a long day and Rose is feeling out of sorts. Can Thorne give him exactly what he needs to end the day on a high note?

Book Review

It was good to see how Rose and Thorne are doing after they finally settled into their Dom/sub roles in the previous book. It was a long, hot journey, and the rewards in terms of trust and love become clear in this short look at how they're doing. A fun little snapshot of their lives, one particularly hot scene using the swing and a vibrating wand, is really all there is to it. But, having read the previous books, for me, this one adds a nice bit of spice to an already pretty kinky relationship.

Rose is feeling a bit stressed, possibly because he's been doing piercings that are not his favorites. While he isn’t exactly in a bad mood, he isn't his usual relaxed self either. When Thorne calls him on it, he is relieved his Master knows what to do and follows him into their playroom without hesitation. The way he lets Thorne take over, moves into the sling without hesitation, and follows every command as they start to play was very different from his behavior in the first book. The reward is immediate, and Rose voices his gratitude very clearly.

Thorne hates it when Rose isn’t at his best, and he sets out to refocus his sub and rock his man's world. His first attempt isn’t very successful, so he switches gears – and that does the trick. Pleasure works a lot better than pain on some days, and this is clearly one of them. Thorne's creative use of the tools at his disposal is definitely hot – and gets him off as much as Rose.

If you liked the previous Rose and Thorne stories (that really should be read first), if you enjoy reading about hot, kinky scenes that are likely to make you as hot as he characters in the story, and if you're looking for a short, entertaining and very sexy read, then you will probably like this short story.
