Book Blurb

Teak has been attracting way too much attention lately. Will he learn his lesson when he is banished to Canada’s far north?

Teak has always taken what he wants, when he wants, with no regard for the council of vampires overseeing his every move. When he crosses the line, he is sent to the far north as punishment and severely warned not to drink from any human there. He’s also told to blend in by taking up his old profession. It all seems doable…until Teak meets the attractive pharmacist, Marcus Kent. When Teak tries to steal a bite as well as a kiss by glamouring the object of his desire, he discovers that where Marcus is concerned, his powers are moot.

Book Review

This story is one of the funniest vampire stories I have ever read. Told by Teak, probably the most badass and irreverent vampire ever, it focuses on his punishment by the vampire council – banishment to northern Canada. Once there, Teak thinks his life has ended - and if not, it will end soon due to sheer boredom. But as he finds out more about the people he shares the town with, more specifically the good-looking pharmacist Marcus, he begins to change.

Teak is a playboy par excellence, always up to no good, and out to selfishly fulfill his every desire, no matter how anyone else feels about what he does to them. He is the kind of man, um vampire, who thinks rules are for others, and usually he gets away with it. But not this time – ravishing a bishop on the church altar is apparently a step too far for the powers that be, and they decide to punish him. The description of them informing him and Teak trying to fight the “verdict” is hilarious, as is his description of the town he ends up in. And who does he fall for? The one man he can apparently not influence with his powers. It forces Teak to get to know Marcus the “normal” human way, and opens up a whole new way of looking at things.

If you like irreverent vampires who respect nothing and nobody, if two men from different worlds figuring out they may be meant for each other sounds like fun, and if you’re looking for a read that is funny, entertaining, extremely hot, and very touching, then you will probably like this novella.
