Book Blurb

Colin has a romantic, long Valentine’s Day weekend planned for Ed. A visit to Manchester’s Canal Street, a really nice hotel, complete with four poster bed, and an intimate meal in a restaurant.

Unfortunately, things don’t go quite according to plan, and when one of them ends up in a police cell, Colin’s plans have to take a back seat. Blake Davis can’t stay out of it once he hears what’s happened and turns up to lend a hand, and then it seems all of Ed’s fears about Friday the thirteenth being unlucky are about to be realized.

This was definitely not what Colin had in mind….

Book Review

Colin and Ed from ‘Personal Secrets’ are a great couple – especially after overcoming all the personal, family, and other obstacles they encountered on their path to a loving relationship in the previous book. So I was very happy to see there is another story about them – and I couldn’t wait to find out how these two “unmushy” guys were going to celebrate Valentine’s Day. I mean, really - that must be one of the sappiest holidays ever, and to see Colin and Ed doing their very own brand of romance was, indeed, a treat.

Colin is behind staging this one, and since he has already planned a few romantic trips of shorter and longer duration for the two of them, it is all looking good. The hotel in Manchester is great, the four-poster bed fantastic, and their venture into a strip club on their first night is an eye-opener for both of them – and very, very hot.  But Valentine’s Day itself is a very different matter – and I couldn’t believe the things K.C. Wells put these two through! I was shocked and outraged on behalf of Colin and Ed, and couldn’t believe how much K.C. managed to pack into such a short book.

Colin and Ed may not have expected any of what happens to them, but the events help them realize what is really important. It was great to see them deal with the adversity without it affecting their relationship – other than to make it more solid. And the ending was absolutely perfect!

If you want to find out how Colin and Ed are doing, if you want to see them give their very own flavor to Valentine’s Day, and if you’re looking for a read that is entertaining, hot, and full of unexpected events, then you will probably like this novella.
