Sometimes, bad decisions felt really, really good.
And Gray knew a thing or two about bad decisions. He and his best friends had a bad habit, seeking revenge for innocent people by stealing luxury cars from the men who harmed them. Gray loved the hell out of a joyride, but he started on a different path the night his uncle came knocking, offering him a legitimate job as a bodyguard.
A bodyguard for the prettiest damn guy Gray had ever seen. Jameson had been a teen dream action star before he retired from showbusiness at age twenty. He needed a bodyguard like Gray to keep the paparazzi away, and his secrets out of the public eye.
And Jameson had a lot of pretty secrets.
Once Jameson pouted his lips, Gray couldn’t resist himself. He got another bad idea. One that started with a stolen motorcycle and ended in a motel bed.
Because Gray can give Jameson love on the run. But can he make it last?
This was a different type of read. There is minimal, and I mean very minimal, danger. There is a lot of sexual tension between the two main characters. And last but not least, this story features a lot of running from paparazzi.
When Declan (from book one) calls on his nephew, Gray, to help him with a security job, Gray is not sure at first. But eventually he gives in. That is how he finds himself being the bodyguard of one of his favorite stunt men.
Though Gray, for the most part, lives a life on this side of the law, there are some exceptions to that rule for him and his two best friends. When they do something illegal, it is in the name of revenge for someone. They basically steal from the rich to avenge the poor or someone who has been wronged.
Jameson, or better known by others as Justin Sweet, has been out of the acting scene for a while now. But that has not given him any reprieve. The paparazzi are relentless where he is concerned, even going so far as trying to break into his home to get something on him to report. Jameson finally decides to hire security to help with the problem. He just never imagined being so attracted to the man who is meant to protect him.
Protecting Jameson is not what Gray thought it would be. He soon realizes that hardly anyone knows the real Jameson. With each day that passes, Gray is finding something new and innocent about the man.
The closer these two grow, the more it seems that the paps are determined to dig something up on Jameson. So when Jameson has had all he can take, Gray comes up with a plan to give him some time away from everything and more time for the two of them.
The question is, can they pull this off? What will happen when these two realize that there is so much more then just attraction between the two of them?
This was a very good read. I really enjoyed it. Both Gray and Jameson are very likable characters that draw you in. I look forward to more books in this series in the future.
