Pace is an injured werewolf shifter Dawson finds in the woods under weird circumstances. As the two shifters spend time together, a spark between them grows. Dawson's glad he listened to his agent to get back to his roots; he's never had more fun than he's had with Pace and there's a start of a new story on the horizon as well.

Book Review

A spirit wolf is a pretty unusual kind of ghost, but I guess with werewolves around, it isn’t all that surprising a phenomenon. It was still a cool addition to this short story about the beginnings of a romance between panther shifter Dawson and werewolf Pace.

Dawson is having trouble writing his newest book and hopes to get it kick started when he stays at a cabin in the middle of the woods. Not being in his everyday environment seems to work for him, but when a wolf lures him deep into the forest, his efforts are derailed. It’s all Pace’s fault – but neither of the men is able or willing to regret anything.

If you like shifter stories with mixed species couples, if insta-lust is a favorite, and if you’re looking for a read about the beginning of a relationship, then you might like this short story.
