Book Blurb

My name is Officer Sargent, Sarge to friends and fellow police officers. You might have heard some rumors about me, but they're all lies. I'm not gay. I'm not. The reason I watch my partner's back is because that's what cops do; we watch out for each other. It has nothing to do with his broad shoulders or trim hips or shapely butt.

My partner Nero is a demon, and he has a sick sense of humor, tricking me into thinking things no straight man should ever think. I'm a genetically enhanced supercop, and I can handle his devilish magic.

That is, until the unthinkable happens.

Book Review

The idea of a genetically enhanced cop initially worried me a little. Genetically enhanced soldiers seem to make more sense to me, since they're fighting "the enemy out there". But then, criminals are also a type of enemy, and even though genetically enhanced cops would walk among civilians, so to speak, the idea that they are somehow better equipped to fight crime is also reassuring. Not that a lot of crime fighting takes pace in 'Speed Demon' – it's all about the heat between a genetically enhanced cop who refuses to admit he is gay, and the demon who has fallen for him.

Nero is a demon, and it shows. His behavior on the job and off, and the way he teases Sarge is typical for his kind. And even though he isn’t a lust demon, he could have fooled me… He also fools Sarge, who keep insisting he's only tempted because of Nero's demon powers. Yeah, right! When they do finally connect? Incendiary is putting it politely. Rough, hard, and take-no-prisoners activity follows and nothing, not even Internal Affairs, can stop them.

If you prefer your stories to have more heat than plot, if a demon and a genetically enhanced cop getting it on are your thing, and if you’re looking for an entertaining read that is full of rough loving, then you might enjoy this short story.
