Book Review

Seriously? Book twenty and I'm not bored. That should be the ninth wonder of the world. Really. Of course, Shane, Trevor, and Ava are the focus here and goodness knows how much I love Shane. In all of his assassin, moody, anti-social ways, there's nothing Shane can do that would make me stop loving him. I am so happy that he and Trevor found each other and when they added little Ava, a leopard who'd been sold into slavery as an infant and trained as an assassin, into their family it was complete. So, when Shane comes home from a mission to discover his home, his refuge for his family, destroyed, Trevor seriously injured and Ava kidnapped…well, woe to the Raven who did such a stupid thing.

Declan, that piece of crap Raven who hurt Noah and Trevor so badly, decided selling Ava into slavery would be a good idea. He figured as long as Shane and Trevor were taken out of the picture then it wouldn't be a problem. He underestimated seven year old Ava. She might be little, but she's vicious and fierce, just like Shane. It takes a week before Shane and the coalition are able to track down where Declan is holding Ava. Shane and Trevor race to rescue their daughter from the Raven who abused Noah for over a year.

I adored the ending, where Ava meets up with her daddies as they're coming to rescue her and she's escaped and is trying to help them kill the Ravens. I'll admit that Ava is a pretty cute kid. Shane and Trevor rocked it, again, and the author was kind enough at the end to remind me why this series is so very hot. Since I'm not bored, I am looking forward to the next book.
