Book Review

This is not just a sizzling hot story of attraction between two members of a rock band called Lyric Hounds, they are also werewolves and that makes the whole thing even hotter. I mean, werewolf rockers? A band named Lyric Hounds? Seriously? I loved the whole concept – and the execution is pretty good as well. Made me laugh and cringe with sympathy for the guys' plight in turn. Also, there is an extra little quirk that explains why K acts the way he does, so the story makes sense on top of everything else. Madame Eve certainly has her work cut out for herself by the time these two men have worked themselves into their respective corners and the mess has reached humungous proportions.
 
Sav, as the blurb states, has been in love with Karlan forever. Well, since they were kids and Karlan risked his life to save Sav from a fire. And even though Sav knows Karlan is his mate, the man has never so much as acknowledged any sort of attraction toward Sav. Instead, he goes off and beds a different woman every evening, or so it seems to Sav. Finally, he decides he has had enough, leaves the band, and runs with the hope of starting a new life. When he asks for a 1Night stand he has no idea what Madame Eve is planning for him.

Karlan loves being a rock star, but it's making music with Sav and being on the stage that hold his attention. His image as a womanizer  is just that – a front he puts up for PR reasons. When Sav leaves, Karlan is devastated and mad at himself for never mentioning his attraction, when he cannot find Sav, he decides to go on a 1Night stand, hoping Madame Eve can work one of her relationship miracles for him.

When these two meet on their "date", the sparks start flying immediately. I love it when two wolves find and claim each other as mates are supposed to, especially after waiting so long! If you like books about sexy rock stars and stubborn men, if you enjoy a bot of angst with your romance, and if you're looking for a short, hot read, then you will probably like this short story.
