Book Review

In an interesting variation on a shifter story, Clancy is looking for something useful to do – in shifted form. Search and Rescue is what he does when he is a wolf, but he has lost his “handler” who makes his animal side look trained and safe to humans. This is the story of how he finds a replacement for a lover who was never all that comfortable with the idea anyway.

Clancy has to be careful since he doesn’t want just anyone to know he can shift. His last lover never liked him as a wolf, so Clancy is extra cautious. But when he spots Terry, a man who seems to have some “extra” abilities of his own, he is hopeful.

Terry doesn’t like crowds, but he wants to help find missing people. And with his particular talents, that is easy – except people get suspicious because he is so successful. When Clancy suggests they work together it sounds like the perfect deal, since Terry will be able to “blame” the wolf for his high success rate.

If you like paranormal stories where the men are made for each other even outside the bedroom, if you enjoy reading unusual stories set in our usual world, and if you’re looking for a short, sweet read with some hot between-the-sheets action, then you will probably like this short story.
