Book Blurb

Vance, Andrew, and Raine are back! We met this sexy trio in "Where He Belongs," but now we get to find out how it all started. Raine's world is turned upside down when his sister, Lilly, dies unexpectedly. She's left him the Dew Drop Inn, and everything seems very cut and dry - he'll sell the place and return to his calm, uncomplicated life. But his former lover, Vance, and Vance's saucy sub, Andrew, have other ideas, and when Vance makes a counter offer, Raine is left wondering what the right thing to do really is. Is everything he's worked for worth it without love? Can two powerful Doms even coexist under the same roof?

Prequel to Where He Belongs

Book Review

Finding a man, or in this case, two men, who balance out an inner need for both a sub and an equal, a Master who will occasionally let go and switch roles, is quite a challenge. Sometimes it makes a major event to make a guy see what is really important in life. And sometimes, what you're looking for is right under your nose, so to speak.

Raine is lonely and doesn’t even want to admit it. When his sister's death brings him back in touch with his ex from four years ago, Vance makes him feel happy and relieved. They're still good friends after all. Add Vance's live-in sub, Andrew, and Raine sees a picture of domesticity that has him tempted. He also sees their love, but based on everything that has happened to him, he cannot believe that it is for him. Self-reliance at any price is what he believes in.  Doesn’t stop him from wanting it though. And once he starts thinking about his sister's life and how it was suddenly over, he begins to change his mind.

Vance still loves Raine just as much as Raine still loves hi. He is convinces the three of them can work, but has no idea how to get through to Raine and make him believe. Andrew has the same ideas, he wants both of them, and even speaks up to say so. But, in the end, it is Raine who must make the decision.

If you like somewhat complicated and definitely emotional threesomes, if you enjoy reading about strong men who struggle with a self-image that is becoming harmful to their inner peace, and if you're interested in the psychology as much as some hot action between the sheets, you may like this short story.
