Book Blurb

Blake Davis and husband Will are delighted when Ed Fellows turns up at the hospital the night their daughter is born—even if he is covered in mud from playing rugby and drunk out of his skull. Team-mate Colin is the Good Samaritan who drives him there, and when he takes Ed home, Colin finds himself on the receiving end of a blow-job. He has no problem with that whatsoever. He’s been in lust with Ed since Ed joined the rugby team some fourteen months ago. Only thing is, Colin’s assumed up ’til now that Ed is straight. Except the man sucking him off certainly didn’t seem straight….

Talk about the morning after the night before…. Ed awakens to find a nearly-naked Colin asleep on his sofa. The problem is that for some reason, he can’t get Colin out of his mind. Okay, so it wasn’t the first blow-job Ed’s ever gotten from a guy—or given, for that matter—but that was a long time ago, right? And why does Ed now want more?

With friends Rick, Angelo, Blake and Will to advise him, Ed finds himself on a completely unfamiliar road, as he struggles to accept that maybe the line he is walking isn’t as straight as he’d first imagined….

Contains hot sex between two very hot rugby players...

Book Review

The third couple in this series about the men at Trinity Publishing focuses on Ed, the office manager, and a mate of his he plays rugby with on the weekends. The story picks up at the birth of CEO Blake and now novelist Will’s daughter. But this time I got to see Ed’s point of view, and the more I found out, the more fascinated I became. Talk about secrets – Ed has kept some of them hidden even from himself. But when he and Colin have one drink too many and get physical together one night, there is no escaping the fact that Ed has a few new truths to deal with. This novel is the story of the journey he takes as he discovers what it is like to be gay, out, and in love with his friend,

Ed comes from a lower class background, but had enough talent to go to university, and managed to get a great job. He has always told himself that he is straight. Yes, he “experimented” when he was younger, but he assumes every man does. When he discovers how hot he gets when he and Colin get closer than they ever have before, and the attraction doesn’t vanish when the hangover is dealt with, Ed has to admit something else may be going on. It’s a good thing he has some gay friends (Rick and Angelo from book two) whom he can ask for help and advice – Ed left to his own devices is more than a bit clueless. It was good to see how Ed, once he is confronted with irrefutable facts, no longer deceives himself. He is an honest guy who says it as it is, and he applies that same honesty to his personal life. Sometimes he needs a bit of poking and prodding to stay the course, but what are friends for, right?

Colin is from a very different background, and he knows he is gay, but he never felt the need to announce that fact to the guys in his weekend rugby team. He has been ogling Ed for a while, but never expected his interest to be returned. When Ed turns out to be bisexual and interested, Colin can’t resist. Despite the fact that it’s not an easy ride, what with quite a few mistakes Ed makes as he learns how to be in a relationship with a man, Colin hangs on. How could he not? He and Ed always got along when they were friends and that is an excellent basis for more, as far as Colin is concerned. But, as he finds out, trying to have a relationship, with all its obstacles, misunderstandings, and exes interfering, is quite a different cup of tea!

If you liked the other books in this series and want to find out how Will, Blake, Rick, and Angelo are doing, if two British blokes from very different backgrounds figuring out how to relate as lovers make you curious, and if you’re looking for a read that is funny, hot, and full of aha moments as friendship grows into love, then you will probably like this novel.
