Book Review

Regardless of my personal feelings toward pharmaceutical companies and the billions of dollars in profits they earn while some people can't even afford to get their medications… Okay, sorry. I'm building up to a rant so, I'm pushing the soapbox away, now. Regardless of those feelings, I have nothing but the utmost admiration and respect for the scientists who spend their lives trying to find cures and help for people with chronic illnesses and fatal diseases.

Dr. Ryan Bergstrom is working on a drug that early tests indicate could significantly slow down the progression of Alzheimer's. That's a big thing, a really huge thing. It's no wonder that Ryan's bosses hire a bodyguard for him, especially when he's beginning to get death threats. (Yeah, I know, I couldn't keep the scenes from 'The Bodyguard' out of my head, either). When Ryan meets Brendan Marek, Ryan is instantly in lust with his bodyguard. But Ryan knows better than to show any of those emotions to the strong, gorgeous, ex-Ranger, or who knows what Brendan's reaction might be. Luckily for Ryan, Brendan is very interested, and the next few days are fraught with not just tension but lust, also.

This was such a fun, sexy, and hot short story. Ryan and Brendan had amazing chemistry together and the psycho stalker angle was done very well. All in all, a fun and quick read.
