What if your first Dom was your second chance at love? Hunter’s not sure what to expect when he goes to the BDSM partner-matching service, Playmates, but he certainly didn’t expect to meet sexy, confident Milo, the male Dom who may turn out to be exactly what he needs. Cecil Wilde brings you Perfect Match, Book 1 of his new GLBT romance series.

After years of thinking about it, Hunter’s finally taking the plunge into BDSM by going to the partner-matching service, Playmates. He’s not sure what he wants, but his answers and interview get him matched with Milo, an experienced Dom whose lack of interest in S&M makes him unsuitable for many, but perfect for Hunter—even if he’s never slept with a man before. Their sessions make Hunter realize that this is exactly what he’s always needed, but when his ex—the one who got away—comes back on the scene, Hunter finds himself faced with an impossible decision. Will he go back to her or take a chance on the man who might just be his perfect match?

Book Review

Curiosity about BDSM is what drives Hunter to look for a partner-matching service – one that specializes in finding jus the right combination of Dom and sub. There are a lot of aspects to consider, and both men in this book are secretly looking for more than “just” a playmate, even though they don’t realize it at first, and don’t want to admit it once they get going. They kept me in suspense, and the story definitely makes for an interesting read, but if you’re looking for hardcore chains and whips, this is not the book for you. It is a very gentle “easing into” a D/s situation where the Dom is as sentimental as the sub, they are both very careful of each other, and the whole point is an emotional as well as a physical exploration of what it means to trust someone else to take care of you.

Hunter is not exactly the most forceful man who has ever walked the Earth, he even goes so far as to call himself a coward. I don’t agree with him – it takes a lot of courage to go out there and ask for someone to dominate you! But he is hesitant to ask for what he wants, especially in the bedroom, and his former relationships may have something to do with that. Once he meets Milo and gets over his fear of admitting he is bisexual, Hunter truly begins to learn what it is like to find fulfillment with a partner.

Milo is an experienced Dom with an issue – he is not into S&M, and doesn’t even like to be too forceful. He does like to play, he loves to take care of a sub, and he is overjoyed when he gets to know Hunter. In fact, he is far more attracted to Hunter than he expected in a casual relationship, and it throws him for a loop. And while he may be self-confident in the bedroom he is a little hesitant in real life and almost lets Hunter slip between his fingers.

If you like the softer side of BDSM and enjoy kinky play with one partner "in charge" of the other’s well-being, if two men who need each other more than they are willing to admit sound interesting, and if you’re looking for a sweet, romantic read with some hot D/s scenes that don’t always involve ropes or handcuffs, then you will probably enjoy this novella.
