Book Blurb

Incubus Lemos knows it's his duty to go to the human realm and collect energy for his master, Rezoth. He knows it, but he doesn't love it. Lemos would rather stay with Rezoth and serve his overlord in other ways.

Rezoth knows how hard it is to please an elderdemon like himself. When Lemos says he wants that to be his life's work, Rezoth is willing to give him a try. He's pleased with the result, but there are other forces at work trying to tear them apart. Will Lemos get what he wants for eternity, or are he and Rezoth destined to fail?

Book Review

Demons are a breed unto themselves, and in this world that Julia Talbot has created, they are both traditionally terrifying and refreshingly unconventional, even funny, at the same time. Some of the elements are well known to me from other demon stories, but by the time Julia was done with all the little twists, it felt like a different dimension. One in which demons can fall in love, get bored, and have a sense of humor. Of course they are also terrifying, mean, jealous, and vengeful at the smallest hint of unfair treatment – the way they define it - when the time is right.

Lemos is an incubus tasked with collecting human sexual energy for his master, elderdemon Rezoth. Lemos is very good at his job, but he is also in love with Rezoth and wishes he could stay with him all the time. Not that he expects this to happen, but a demon can dream, right?

Rezoth is pretty high up in the demon hierarchy, powerful, and determined to let Lemos know how much he appreciates his efforts. Ruling lesser demons can be so tedious, and the scenes where Rezoth deals with his job are hilarious. To counter the boredom, Rezoth decides to make Lemos his personal “body servant” and the games are on.

Lemos is ecstatic he now gets to spend all his time with Rezoth, and enjoys the demon version of what humans would call BDSM – collar and all - a lot. But when another demon decides he wants to pay Rezoth back for an imagined slight, Lemos becomes the victim and Rezoth is “forced” to go after him. What a bada** performance that turns out to be!

If you like your terrifying demons to have a sense of humor, if you think they can fall in love just like anyone else, and if you’re looking for an entertaining action/adventure of the supernatural persuasion with a ton of very hot demon-on-demon activity thrown in for good measure, then you will probably enjoy this  much-too-short story. I think it’s a blast and then some!
