“Star appeal” can have all kinds of effects on people like turning them into babbling fans or making them jealous of someone else’s success. This story looks at the effect Bradley, a famous soap star has on Stewart, the artistic director of a small local theater – a man who does not think that TV actors are necessarily to be taken seriously. But the unexpected effect goes both ways…

Stewart loves the theater, and as artistic director he has a lot of control over the type of plays shown by the Harlequin Theater. He is not exactly a fan of the idea of having someone famous on “his” stage, fearing for his creative integrity. He likes Bradley a lot more than he expected, but no way will he be a “dirty little secret” for anyone.

Bradley may be a famous star, but he has played the same role for a decade and is ready for something new. He loves acting, but he has no idea if he has enough talent to make it on the stage. He is ready to learn and ends up with a professional as well as a personal challenge.

If you like sweet stories about strangers discovering a common interest, and if you’re looking for an entertaining read with very little drama, then you might like this short story.
