Life has hit a frustrating point for otter shifter Bryon. His Scrooge of a boss wants him to work Christmas, and the shine on his relationship with boyfriend Lucas has dulled a little.

But then a magical accident creates a duplicate of Bryon. Can the apartment survive the onslaught of two mischievous, highly-sexed shifters? And can poor Lucas handle two high-energy subs?

Book Review

'Madness' is the right title for this hilarious story about a very chaotic otter shifter and his boyfriend, a toppy and serious mage. From the very start, Bryron's otter characteristics show even when he is in human form and lead to all kinds of trouble for him, and serious laughter from me as I followed his madly tumbling thoughts. As for Lucas, well, what can I say? He definitely has his hands full. The combination of these two unlikely partners makes for very entertaining reading.

Bryon is what could be called a scatterbrain. In line with his otter heritage, he is easily distracted, loves shiny things, and his main goal in life is to have fun and play. Video games, destroying the toilet paper roll in the bathroom, bed play or activities in their playroom, he isn’t picky. When his horrible boss wants him to work on Christmas Eve, a time he always spends with Lucas, Bryon loses it. He doesn’t even want to tell Lucas, but it worries him to the point he makes a couple of mistakes. Some, like messing up the bathroom following an unplanned shift, are fixable. Creating a duplicate of himself by accident – not so much.

Lucas takes it all in stride - eventually, but can’t easily fix the problem, so the three men have fun together. Hilarious, I tell you. If you like stories with lots of chaos and humorous happenings, if you enjoy reading about a slightly bratty sub and his trying-to-be-stern Master, and if you're looking for a Christmas-flavored story with a touch of shifter magic, then you will probably like this short story.
