Blood is thicker than pride. The final book in the Elite Operative Series brings together foes, family, and friends to start a new order.

Special Agent Switch needs to get close to Greek tycoon Konstantinos Lykourgos, the prime suspect in the theft of a priceless ancient icon from a monastery on Mount Athos. His accomplice is the EOO’s recurring nemesis: Theodora Rothschild, aka TQ, the Broker.

Ariadne Lykourgos, heir to her father’s shipping empire, expects to have a much-needed holiday on the family yacht with her friends. But the arrival of a new crew member challenges her values and tests her loyalties.

Will Agent Switch be strong enough to keep secrets from Ariadne, and will Ariadne be able to cope with the truth?

Book Review

Glorious! After more than a year, book seven of the ‘Elite Operative’ series made it to publication. I had kind of resigned myself to having book six be the last one and I am exceedingly delighted an addition to the series was published. This book is well worth the wait. The setting is spectacular. The intensity and intrigue are more than up to par. Good guys/gals and bad guys/gals are cracklingly awesome. It can be read by itself, but I heartily encourage new readers to start with book one and relish the trip through now book seven. Thank you, Kim, Xenia, and Bold Strokes Books. Magnificent!

This book's main elite operative working primarily undercover calls herself Alex Ramos for this assignment. Within the EO Organization, she has the nickname of Switch, which is very apropos as she is once again posing as a young male. Her provocative ability to pass as the opposite sex for various undercover assignments is definitely supported by her astoundingly androgynous demeanor. She is amazing on many, many fronts and I adore her. The ease with which she exercises her background of various essential skills serves her well as an undercover operative on this extremely intricate assignment. The EOO manages to make available a bosun post for Switch to assume on the most phenomenal yacht I ever read about, never having personally had the pleasure to sail on a yacht. Between her EOO responsibilities and duties plus her bosun tasks and obligations, Switch performs above and beyond expectations. Astounding!

Ariadne Lykourgos is the daughter of a Greek Shipping Tycoon and she is being groomed to take over the business as her brother is basically not up to the task. She is also an out lesbian and her father is remarkably understanding and considerate. The tension and interaction that comes into play between Ariadne and Switch is splendidly orchestrated. That interplay is additional icing on the cake for the brilliant multi-layered happenings around a priceless religious icon, a most notorious and feared underworld manipulator, and finally the superb maneuvering of Switch and her EOO associate securing the object of everyone's desire. Each extraordinary thread linking and intertwining Ariadne and Switch has several counterpoints and fervencies that make this story totally unforgettable. Homeric!

On top of all the suspense, there are several jaw-dropping twists that had me gasping even on a reread. How nearly incomprehensible is that! If I humbly ask for a book eight, is that not the greatest compliment I can make? I recommend this to everyone, even those who would not normally read or enjoy this genre. ‘One Last Thing’ is outstandingly memorable. A virtuoso and masterful accomplishment!
