Book Blurb

What happens when the right thing to do is the wrong choice for your heart?

FBI Agent Terri McKinnon always knows the right thing to do. She is a decorated officer who knows procedure like the back of her hand. She is, in a word, unflappable—until she meets Dr. Jennifer Rosenberg, a college professor with a questionable past, who may also be a key witness in a series of violent crimes. The last thing Jen wants is a by-the-book cop in her life, but fate has other plans.

Terri is drawn to the unconventional Dr. Rosenberg and the attraction appears mutual, but the rules are clear—this woman is off-limits. Can Terri's well-ordered life stand the whirlwind that is Jen Rosenberg? More importantly, can Terri protect her when Jen's past comes back to haunt her? Or will Agent McKinnon find herself On Dangerous Ground?

Book Review

This book has humor, charm, and some very passionate love scenes. These three items are woven in between an intriguing FBI mystery with a requisite bad guy who is really off his rocker. The two key FBI agents who anchor the team are just priceless. They are a female and male partner who really mesh and back each other up with passion and professionalism. The fact that they are both gay provides some delightfully entertaining moments and really heartwarming support. It was rather a stroke of genius to have them as partners and good friends. As the story concludes and I read the "About the Author" segment, I was somewhat astounded that this was a first novel. It is so marvelous that BSB launches these talented authors. I am completely enchanted that they do and I recommend that this premier work should not be missed!

Agent Terri McKinnon is one crackerjack representative of the FBI. Her cat may periodically leave telltale white hairs on her regulation black slacks, but otherwise Terri wears the uniform with more that just dignity, but style. She has kind of resigned herself to being without a girlfriend, but her FBI partner agent Robert C. Kraft, better known as Bobby, is constantly encouraging her or hooking her up with potential gals. Sometimes Bobby will even trick her into double dating with him. He really means well, but Terri is not interested. They are great partners and will jump into the fray for each other without hesitation. I adored Terri and I found Bobby truly delightful!

College Professor Jennifer Rosenberg, better known as Jen, is a consultant for the company that the FBI knows has been targeted. With professor Rosenberg being geographically closest to the FBI agents assigned to the case, they schedule to meet with her. Jen, as soon as Agent Terri appears on her doorstep, is positively convinced that her 'one' had just walked through the door. So, along with being nervous about an 'FBI interview', she was also struck dumb with Agent McKinnon's perfectly amazing gorgeousness. Jen can't wait to call her bud Joe Edwards. What a delightful parallel between Terri and Bobby and Jen and Joe. I just love that kind of story element.

The bad guy is really bad, but that assuredly adds a fine spark to the story. The other wonderful spark between Jen and Terri is truly resplendent. I recommend this initial offering for those folks who have an affection for FBI intrigue that is rather enhanced by a beautiful, blossoming love affair.
