Book Review

'Not All Angels Have Wings' is N.L. Hartmann's debut into the world of gay romance. I'll eagerly admit to being charmed by the writing, entranced with the characters, and left sentimental by the story. There was an old-fashioned feel to Sandro, Greg, and their story that left me a little spellbound.

Sandro is a principal ballet dancer who is finally beginning to heal after his boyfriend of two years robbed him blind while Sandro was on tour. Greg is from the Midwest having recently moved to the city to attend art school. Their romance begins slowly but continues steadily until something I couldn't begin to imagine happened. Unfortunately it's a spoiler so there is quite a bit of the second part of this book that I can't share.

This novella was not what I expected. I'm not disappointed by that at all. A good story will take you in a direction you never expected and open your eyes to wondrous possibility. That's what Ms. Hartmann has done for me with this magical story of possibilities. Thank you, Nancy, you gave me a new way to picture the next place.
