Book Blurb

Dominick Sawyer fishes Claixto Medina Lopez out of a clandestine stripper bar out in the middle of nowhere. Forced to chase a naked guy through the middle of an industrial park does not endear Dominick to the foster child of a convicted criminal. What starts as a routine job turns in to something far more complicated, and Dominick, a U.S. Marshal, gets stuck babysitting 'Cal.' But Dominick is in for a surprise, as Cal remembers Dominick in a completely different—and compromising—setting.

Book Review

The Melting Ice books are part of one of my favorite DJ series. The men are tough, the threats to life and limb are terrible and imminent, and the evil gangsters who make everyone’s life miserable always seem to be winning until the last moment. Then there are the slightly flawed detectives or federal agents who protect the victims of injustice or those about to testify with unstoppable determination. Oh, yes, and there is always romance. Not the frilly kind, but the deeply moving and emotional kind that becomes visible through action rather than words. What more could you want?

Cal, a criminal’s foster son is in a pretty tough predicament. Forced into a life he didn’t want, he has no way out until he runs into agent Dominic. He’s chased down by him, actually. Interestingly, Dominick has his own issues, and Cal is fully aware of them. It doesn’t make their journey to safety any easier, nor does it help melt the ice around Dominick’s heart.

If you like reading about two men on opposite sides of the law battling it out and falling for each other, if the idea of a not-so-white-knight standing up to save a not-so-innocent victim has your interest and if you think you can deal with the tension of will-they-will-they-not, then you will love this book. I adore it!
