Book Blurb

Kendall Reece is the new vet in town. He never expected to find an injured coyote in the middle of the road. Though he should put the animal out of its misery, something compels him to do everything in his power to save it.  When he brings it to the clinic, he's shocked when it transforms into a man. A man he can't help but find attractive despite the injury. Even more shocking—that man kisses him.

Alpha Red Johnson never thought he would be stupid enough to get hit by a car while hunting, but after his mate finds him, brings him to the clinic, cares for him, and calls him back to life, he really should thank the driver. Kendall is human and knows nothing about the customs of the shifter world. If Red wants to keep his mate now that he's found him, he's going to have to show Kendall how committed he really is.

Book Review

It’s not every day that a vet finds what he thinks is an injured animal in the middle of the road, only to discover it is a shifter, and a gorgeous specimen at that. Since shifters are well known and mostly accepted in this world, Kendall isn’t too shocked about discovering that the animal he rescued is also a man. He is way more surprised that Red kisses him and is apparently interested in a lot more.

Red is an alpha, a coyote with a wolf in his ancestry, and ecstatic that he has found his mate. Never mind that he is a human, never mind that he will have to learn about being mated to a shifter, all Red wants is to have Kendall close and never to leave him again. Unfortunately that is not what happens… but Red is amazingly understanding.

Kendall is more than a little overwhelmed when he finds out that Red is interested in him. He can’t believe the talk about mating is serious, and he needs time to get used to the idea. There is no angst, but Kendall still needs more than five minutes to adjust to suddenly having a partner who will be with him the rest of his life. He loves everything they do with each other, but still.

If you like sweet, romantic shifter stories with lots of hot encounters, if two men who are mated but the human half needs time to adjust sound like an interesting story, and if you’re looking for an entertaining read that might just make you smile, then you will probably like this novella.
