Mark Prescott gets more than he could ever have bargained for after returning from his brief stay in the big city in the form of two hunky cowboys who are determined to make him feel more than welcomed.

Mark Prescott is a man on the move. After leaving Buckshot Ranch, he's looking forward to discovering what life's all about in the big city. When the hand of fate strikes him down, he has little choice but to return back to the ranch looking for a second chance.

Upon meeting Buckshot's new foreman, Tex, and another handsome cowboy, Sean, he realizes he may have finally found his place in the world in the arms of two hot, handsome men.

Reader Advisory: This book contains scenes of m/m intimacy, menage sex, double penetration, and mild BDSM. This book is best read in sequence as part of a series.

Book Review

This second volume in the ‘Men of Buckshot Ranch’ series picks up the story of Mark, one of the secondary characters in the first book. The historical setting is nicely done, and gave me a feeling of traveling back in time; a visit to the saloon, a stay in a boarding house, and travel by stagecoach made the time period and setting very clear.

Mark is much surer than Jay (of the first book) about wanting a relationship with a man, something “more” than the odd encounter in a dark corner. He is also, unfortunately, not very astute about whom he talks to and runs into major problems. Returning to the ranch may not be what he wants, but has no choice and, funnily enough, it ends up being one of his better decisions.

Sean is a bit of an enigma. He is very forward, clearly a risk taker, and doesn’t really fit into the times. He happens to be dominant, and that is just what Tex and Mark are looking for. Tex, the new foreman, may want to act tough, but he’s a big teddy bear. He also likes to be told what to do (in bed, at least) and it is as easy for him to fall for Sean as it is to add Mark to their little circle.

As unrealistic as the setup is, the descriptions of these three men together are hot. Once they make it into the threesome and stop fooling around with other men, that is. If you like sexy man-on-man-on-man action in a somewhat historical setting and don’t mind the sex having more weight than character development or a plot, you will probably like this light, quick read.
