Book Blurb

Gay but in the closet, Jacob Butler has made a big mistake. He's fallen in love with his friend, Walt Donnelly, who is not only Jacob's business partner, but also straight. After a drunken kiss that turns to more, he realizes his business partner is bisexual. Walt, however, makes it clear he isn't interested in anything serious with Jacob or any man. Broken hearted and afraid he'll always be alone, Jacob tries to forget his attraction to his friend.

Walt has always assumed he knew what his future would contain. But his night with Jacob makes him question exactly who he wants forever with...

Be Warned: m/m sex

Book Review

In this third volume of the Loving series, it's the turn of Jacob and Walt, the two remaining partners of the accounting firm we learned about in book two. Jackson, now happily settled with Lorrie, makes a brief appearance, but the focus is on Jacob and Walt. They are friends and both have a lot to learn about each other and about being honest with the rest of the world.

Jacob may be gay, but he is deeply in the closet. He claims it "just happened", but he has some deep-seated fears about coming out, mostly due to his family. He's been in denial for so long, trying to go for the marriage and kids route his parents expect, that he doesn’t quite know how to end it.

Walt may be bi, but he wants marriage and kids, and he thinks he can only have a real relationship with a woman. Guys, in his opinion, are for sex only. It is only when he says this out loud, to a very disappointed Jacob, that he realizes what nonsense this idea actually is. Not that he knows how to have a relationship with a man, but he does understand that it is what he wants with Jacob.

I have a feeling these two are in for a lot of surprising discoveries as they begin to navigate the deep and sometimes treacherous waters of a relationship. If you're looking for a short read that will occasionally make you frown at both main characters' stupidity, if you like the scenario of a closeted gay man and a bi man who thinks he wants only women, and if you enjoy stories where hot action leads to interesting conclusions and some eye-opening discussions, you will probably like this short story.
