U.S. Marshal Jubilee Mason and Canadian detective Kieran Fox want to find a way to be together, but fate may decide things for them.
When the men begin a joint undercover operation at a Texas cathouse to stop a child sex-slave ring in its tracks, their growing feelings soon overshadow the risky operation.
Can Kieran and Jubilee find a way to truly love each other and commit to a long-term relationship, or will this be their very last dance?

This book is appropriately named as it's the last story that involves my favorite cops, Kieran and Jubilee. I was excited to jump into it and sad at the same time. I didn't want these guys' story line to be done. Granted, I knew I would still see them, but they wouldn't be the primary focus of the next few stories, although, thank goodness they are still there as strong supporting cast. Anyway, let's just say I was excited to jump into this book.
This story started off on a sad note as Sheriff DePriest was murdered, in an underground whorehouse of all things, and his wife came running to Jubilee and Kieran for help. Turns out the sheriff had been trying to uncover a child sex ring being run out of the whorehouse and when they found out, they killed him. So, now it's down to Kieran and Jubilee to finish the investigation. I'm just going to say this. There are WAY too many sickos in this world.
My favorite secondary characters were back, and in top shape, so to speak. As always with these stories, the plot line seems simple at the beginning and then a whole lot of twists and turns crop up that I never expected. The action and adventure is always over the top and I usually feel like I'm watching a TV show. This book finally had Jubilee having to deal with coming out. I don't blame Kieran, I couldn't stay with someone permanently where I was a secret. It didn't hurt that Kieran was offered a job with the Marshall service in Dallas, or that Pauline got a job in Dallas and was moving there with the kids, so it worked out for them all to still be together but not in tiny, homophobic Lone Trail.
It was kind of sad to watch the guys leave Lone Trail. I mean, they're still going to be in Texas, so that's good, or as good as it can be. *smirk* Kieran and Jubilee are moving on. It's been a very exciting four books with these two and I'm looking forward to jumping into new adventures.
