On a dare from a friend, skeptic John Smith travels to the woods of Maine to investigate Bigfoot sightings. The last thing he expects to find besides a legendary creature is a sexy trail guide.
Earl Eli plans to trick his pretentious guest with a fake Bigfoot appearance, but when he and John fall for each other, he calls off the hoax -- or so he thinks.
In the wilderness, a beast, a violin and two men in a log cabin equal a recipe for action.
The legend of Bigfoot has been around for so long that it almost seems as if something about it has to be true for it to be so persistent. But, just like the monster of Loch Ness, the creature has, so far, managed to escape definite proof of its existence. Of course that does not stop humans from continuing to look, and in this story, there is a whole club of people who all claim to have had some sort of encounter with Bigfoot. But while the main character, a librarian called John, is aware of their tales, he himself is a skeptic – in line with his focus on reality and facts rather than theories and suppositions.
When John accepts a dare to go on a Bigfoot hunt himself, it sets in motion an adventure he won’t soon forget. He travels to the same location where one of the Bigfoot club members has just had a sighting, figuring he’ll find out what actually happened to Martin. It must be some kind of hoax, right?
Earl Eli is the local guide who makes a lot of money off tourists who want to go camping in the woods of Maine around where he lives while they hunt for Bigfoot. Earl Eli himself is not a believer, but John gets under his skin enough that Earl Eli decides to present him with a scare. Only things don’t quite work out the way Earl Eli had planned…
If you like stories with a touch of the impossible, if you think that two men who don’t start off as the best of friends can become lovers under the right circumstances, and if you’re looking for a read with a few twists, a bit of a scare, and some very hot loving in the wilds of Maine, then you might like this fun novella.
