Book Blurb

Marcus Prater has his life in order. He's got the man he loves, Benjamin Danvers, living and working with him. He's healed from the bullet that almost stopped his heart. And he's got his best friends back in his life.

What more could he ask for?

When Marcus is asked to investigate the disappearance of a young man close to Benjamin, that prompts him to begin the search for his brother too. What he finds changes everything.

Warning: Marcus and Benjamin are back, and hotter for each other than ever before. There's sex, laughs and a few tears. But not necessarily answers. And no cliffhanger. Really. I promise...

Book Review

'Knights Out' by T.A. Webb is the fourth book in the ongoing story of Marcus and Benjamin; it picks up where the last book ended. Marcus and Benjamin have come a long way personally and in their relationship. All the mistrust, uncertainty, and confusion are gone and what's left is an incredible bond between the two men. The sensuality of the men is surpassed only by their incredible trust of and loyalty to one another. Two very different, but determined men have found a way to merge not only their bodies, but their entire beings into the best life either of them could ever imagine possible.

Benjamin is making great strides to rid himself from the rent-boy mentality he had before meeting Marcus. During the last few months, their roles have been reversed, with Benjamin being in charge while Marcus recovers from being shot. Even though Marcus is older and wiser than Ben, he has his own kind of wisdom which is invaluable to Marcus and his three best friends, Chance, Wick, and Jeremiah. Benjamin is slowly gaining their respect and has learned not to be too intimidated by them, especially Wick, whom Ben is afraid of, but attracted to as well. It's not a problem though, because Ben is so much in love with Marcus, that he knows that he would be a fool to jeopardize it in any way. Marcus is Ben's touchstone; he is never letting him go.

Marcus never thought he'd be in love again, but Benjamin proves him to be very wrong. He couldn't be more in love if he tried. Bit by bit, he's loosening his reins of control, letting Ben take care of himself rather than trying to rush to protect him. He knows that they need to be equals and is doing his best to see that that happens. Marcus knows that Ben won't tolerate being a kept man, that he wants to be able to contribute in a significant way. He finds something each day that makes him love Ben more, etc. paying for funerals of unclaimed rent-boys, or encouraging him to contact his brother because Ben knows what a hole it has made in his heart. This is not even mentioning the fact that neither could do without the other in bed where things are always steamy and exciting.

This book is more emotional than the other three because its events involve not just Marcus, Ben, and his friends, but the entire rent-boy community. It presents, in a very poignant, but brutal way, how vulnerable these throw-away kids are and what tragedies may befall them. I recommend this book, especially to those of you who are fans of Marcus and Ben and the gang; you will love this book. Thanks, T.A., for another touching story. I'm looking forward to the next installment.
