Book Blurb

It’s been three years since Paul discovered his slave, Cameron, beaten and clinging to life in a NYC alley. Determined to protect the man he loves, they’ve moved to a remote mountain retreat and though Cam’s physical wounds have mostly healed, the past still has an emotional hold on them, preventing them from finding the third person they once dreamed of completing their family.

When Cam meets Matt, thoughts of a third person in his relationship with Paul resurface. His master isn’t pleased with Cam’s attraction to the other man, but the fact that they’re talking about a third again is a sign that they’re both ready to put the past behind them. The only thing left to do is see if Matt is the one they’ve been looking for.

Rejected by his family, Matt worked at Bound to put himself through culinary school and has made a life for himself. Intrigued by Cam and the life he leads as a sexual slave, Matt agrees to become their cook and housekeeper, while deep down, he wants more.

Is there room in Paul’s heart for another slave?

Book Review

Why is it that some couples feel the need for a third partner? There are probably as many reasons as there are people trying to answer that question. In this story, longtime lovers Paul, a Dom if there ever was one, and his slave Cameron had considered adding a third man to their family before disaster struck and Cameron got beaten up so badly he almost died. For a while, his recovery was a priority, and the way Paul was affected means they lost their way. They still love each other and play a little, but it isn’t the same. And it’s become clear the two of them are not enough to bring back what they once had. ‘Kinks in the Road Home’ is the story of Cameron and Paul finding their third. It is also the tale of how Matt, the man they choose, finds his way home to the family he has always wanted ever since his biological parents kicked him out of their lives.
Cameron is an artist who forgets the time of day when he works. He also likes to submit, and he loves erotic pain with his loving. Paul is the ideal Master for him since he likes providing structure, doling out discipline and the occasional punishment, and he loves Cameron to distraction. Cameron is a very trusting soul, but ever since the incident, his Master has become hesitant about providing the kind of pain Cameron likes and needs. It’s understandable, and in the first months of physical recovery it was very necessary, but it’s been three years, and Cameron is ready for more.

Paul loves Cameron with all his heart, and he recognizes that he has become more careful. He has become even more protective and possessive than he was before, so when Cameron shows an interest in Matt, Paul isn’t at all sure that he is happy about it. Trusting someone enough to let him into their family is very hard, but Paul wouldn’t be the Master he is if he didn’t have the ability to overcome his fears when his slave’s needs are so obvious. Besides, he is darned attracted to Matt as well, once he meets him.

Matt has been alone for a very long time, and if it weren’t for his friend and mentor, Roger, he might not have made it. Matt has tried to get his boyfriend to take a more dominant role, but that hasn’t worked. When Roger mentions a potential solution to Matts combined needs of finding a new family and of submitting to a Master, Matt isn’t at all sure it will work. He is afraid of remaining on the outside forever, and as the three men begin their exploration, Matt‘s need to be accepted only grows.

If you like stories about a three-way becoming a triad, if the kinkier side of bedroom play is something you’re interested in, and if you’re looking for a story that is filled with emotions and the blossoming of new love, then you will probably enjoy this novella. It’s a great story, but definitely on the kinkier side of BDSM – not for beginners or those not into loving sexual slavery.
