Book Blurb

For Joren, former Leader of the Syndicate, life took an abrupt turn when rebels took over humanity's galactic government and military. Now he's in hiding, he and his brother -- the scientist Ashley Mracek -- constantly aware of danger lurking around every corner. When Joren joins Ash and Captain Carter Therres on the lawless planet of Geren in search of allies, he comes into the sights of an assassin.

Morgan Reid left the military twenty-six years ago. Now he's a gun for hire, his marksmanship and sniper rifle abilities heavily sought after on the planet of Geren. When his latest contract comes through, he knows the shit's about to hit the fan. Then he finds out who he's hired to kill, and he breaks not one but both of the rules he's always kept: never mix business with pleasure, and never make eye contact with the target.

Book Review

As intense as the first book, the plot definitely thickens in the sequel. The conspiracy against the former leader of the Syndicate, Joren, is complete and he becomes a hunted man. While we don’t (yet) find out who exactly is behind the revolution, the arch-enemies of the Syndicate seem to be involved. The pairing of the ex-leader, who happens to be a talented sniper, and an ex-Marine assassin is smoking hot, and the amount of testosterone between those two ensures a very entertaining ride.

Joren is a politician, or he has been recently, but he is also a soldier. Now that the rebels are after him, those talents come in very useful. He's also desperate to protect his brilliant scientist-brother, Ash and lucky to have Ash's lover, Carter, be just as determined to help. But when Joren is confronted with his past the real fireworks start!

Morgan is an ex-Marine who enjoys writing his own ticket, pretty much, as an assassin. He is tough, and doesn’t take anyone's orders, but when he finds out who his latest assignment is he knows he won’t stick to his rules. Not that he tells anyone immediately, wanting to ensure he gets to see the man of his dreams first.

If you're looking for a space adventure that is just as much fun as the first book, except with more testosterone flying around between the two lovers, if you enjoy reading about dark galacto-political machinations coming out of the woodwork, and if you're looking for a very hot read with two men who can’t stop touching each other, then you should give this sequel a go.
