Book Blurb

When word reaches Jason and his bandmates about several defectors who escaped Harlan Yates, the group realizes it's time to act. With their allies from Abaddon -- including the newly-turned demon, Daniel -- the band makes their move to get rid of Yates once and for all.

Led by the demons Gabriel and Haez, the others take the fight directly to Yates, aided by the defectors. Jason and his bandmates have never been in battle, and they're going to discover it's not for the faint of heart. Not everyone comes out unscathed, but that's the nature of war. For one of them, a single bite changes life forever.

Book Review

The series around Firestarter, a rock band with links to the supernatural, comes full circle in this fourth volume. The bandmates and their vampiric and demonic lovers face a final confrontation with archenemy Yates, the sociopathic vampire, then a defector gives them the intel they need, and there is more than one surprise.

While there is some gruesomeness and horror (after all, we are dealing with demons and vampires here), there is also a bit of worldbuilding with a new direction for some of the characters. Questions are raised and answered, and all the bandmates in their various couple or triad combinations have to deal with what’s next. In what feels like the series finale, this story is a combination of dealing with old issues and deciding a new direction.

If you like this series, don’t miss the final installment. And if you’re looking for a resolution for this pretty unique rock band’s situation, you might like this short story.
