The gorgeous Domanico triplets -- or the Daring Doms -- have a taste for danger. Right now Tucker, Mitch and Quint -- a lifeguard, a firefighter and a bounty hunter -- are single, but that's about to change...
Advice columnist Keith is great at fixing other people's problems, but his own sex life is dead. Every day when he looks out his office window, he sees gorgeous lifeguard Tucker on duty and dreams about being Tucker's guy.
Dressed as a fallen angel, Keith attends a Halloween party. Looking drop-dead gorgeous in a glam rocker costume, Tucker approaches Keith to hook up. The lifeguard is hotter than the California sun and Keith knows he has fallen in love, but he fears that confessing his feelings too fast will scare Tucker off. When Tucker risks his life during a rescue, they know that their relationship isn't just fun and games, but the real thing.
This is a really cute, really short story about two men who fall for each other quickly enough to scare them. Predictably, a misunderstanding ensues, they take a step back, and they each need to make a decision as to what they want next – if anything. I liked the straightforward cuteness of this story, just two normal guys, doing what guys do best, and finding out that being in a relationship requires just a little more than going on dates and having a good time.
Keith is an advice columnist, but he cannot seem to follow his own advice. "Just gong for it" is not his thing, so even when he meets Tucker, he hesitates. All of that changes at the Halloween party, but because he cannot believe in love at first sight, what they have built soon falls apart. Keith is disconsolate, and wonders what he did wrong. Fixing it doesn’t even seem to be on his radar until Fate intervenes in the form of a shape attack. Yeah, that's what I thought – definitely anew one!
Tucker is a lifeguard and he loves his job. Skirting the edge of danger, he enjoys life and when he meets Keith, he jumps on the occasion to date the sexy man. Tucker is a little intimidated by how clever Keith is for running a column and having written a relationship book, but as they both soon find out, there is a difference between theory and practice!
If you like simple, straightforward stories that will make you smile, if you enjoy reading about love at first sight that neither of the men affected wants to admit to, and if you're looking for a short, sweet read, then you will probably like this short story.
