Book Review

This is a truly wonderful story focusing on the events and likely situations that very well may have occurred leading up to, during, and following the shattering happenings on September 11, 2001. The national and global implications blast across the pages while two love affairs act like bookends to comprise and reflect these shocking days. The larger-than-life women caught within this staggering turmoil drew me into their hearts and concerns. I do believe the impact I experienced was larger after having completed the first three volumes of this series, but I feel that if this is the only book within the collection you read, I cannot imagine anyone being disappointed. Sensationally stupefying!

The primary pair that meets in the first monograph grows closer and more intimate within this fourth presentation. Blair Allison Powell is the daughter and only child of the president of the Unites States. Cameron Roberts, Cam, is Blair's chief secret service security officer. The necessary elaborate structures that encompass defending such a significant individual like Blair are not only eye-opening, but spectacularly engaging. Interestingly by the time this book unfolds, Blair has acquired a greater appreciation for the team that oversees her ongoing safety as she accepts the single-minded focus of her lover and associates. Apart from the high tension and escalating levels needed to keep such a noticeable person safe, there is a delightfully amusing interplay between Blair and her exceptional protectors. As the chief of this crew and Blair's stunningly beautiful lover, Cam is unquestionably electrifying. This couple just blows me away again and again!

A fascinating complementary and new twosome is highlighted in this narration. The recently appointed lead secret service agent, Paula Stark, and a recuperating FBI operative, Renee Savard, sense a rapidly ripening fondness and steamy undercurrent as both women feel their growing closeness and physical affinity in a manner relatively new to both of them. This blossoming relationship is a magnificent counterpoint to Blair and Cam and a refreshingly original duo. Renee is singularly focused on not only making the grade and then some, but moving upward within the predominantly male FBI. Paula is singularly focused on having her chief, Cam, recognize and reward her efforts in addition to also moving up the ranks. When these two finally click, both revealing an escalating passion, they simply light up the skies. Their nascent affiliation in differentiation to Blair and Cam's solidifying liaison definitely added a fabulous dimension. Indisputably dynamic duos!

Impressive storytelling along with the phenomenal actual events from the 9/11 disaster made this an outstandingly well-balanced saga. I wholeheartedly recommend it. What a treat that I still have four more books before completing this collection. Incredibly inspirational!
