Book Blurb

Jay’s a good submissive. Richard has never regretted taking him under his protection. He’s never regretted deciding that it was time for them to move into their first house together either. The only thing Richard doesn’t understand is why Jay’s been so damn determined to nag him into choosing something for the house.

When Jay comes home to a find a shock in their hallway, he’s about to find out exactly what his master thinks of his nagging...

Book Review

I'll admit that I like stories about subs (or Doms, for that matter) who suddenly come to realize their importance for their partner beyond the kinky BDSM play they engage in. There is something especially charming when this “lesson” is learned by a somewhat insecure sub who is still trying to find his place in life and cannot quite imagine what his master sees in him.

Jay is just such a sub. I didn’t find out much about his “outside” life other than he is a student of some kind. His thoughts are very specific around his fears of losing his master of nine months, of annoying him or not being enough. He has tried to get Richard to engage in adding stuff to their new house, thinking that will help. When Richard finally does, it isn’t quite what Jay expected, but he has no clue how to deal with it, nor how to tell his master.

Richard is a great guy, and a good Dom. The fact that his sub seems to be troubled by something irritates him, but he sets out to figure out what is going on immediately. His provocative “addition” to their house is a great means to an end, as is the very hot sex he has with his sub. Once that is over, the talk that follows shows the real depth of Richard’s commitment, and that is the only thing he wants to convey to Jay.

If you like D/s stories that are more about the relationship than the BDSM aspect, if you enjoy a touch of humor with your kink, and if an insecure sub finding his feet is your thing, you will probably enjoy this short story.
