Lukas and Taylor are looking forward to Christmas with their two-month-old daughter. However, Taylor's parents and Lukas's siblings decide they shouldn't be alone for the holiday and invade the house. Their intentions are good, but it changes Lukas and Taylor's plans. So not only is Taylor learning the ropes on his new job, but his and Lucas's once-quiet house is now overflowing with people, and not all of them get along. Their holiday might crash and burn if they can't bring their families together.
A story from the Dreamspinner Press 2013 Advent Calendar package "Heartwarming".
This is positively an A1 holiday goody! I have only three living relatives and this story gave me the opportunity of being completely enveloped by Taylor and Lukas’s totally unplanned "Full House Holiday Family Invasion". They were just looking forward to a quiet baby’s first Christmas, but then the loving hordes started to arrive. Unbelievably but deliciously fantastic! Taylor and Lukas are married and they are nearly too beautiful for words as a couple and as parents!
Taylor is initially out of work when we first meet him. He still feels hurt that the eight years he gave loyally and productively to his former employer seemed to mean so little to them. Well, he has interviews lined up and maybe he’ll get his second Christmas present! I believe Taylor thinks his daughter is that first present. He is just so solid, so loving, and such perfectly delightful father material!
Lukas is a successful ghostwriter and has his office in their home. Lukas seems to have taken to being the full-time parent just like a duck to water, dare I say. Lukas is really put to the test, however, since he is locked into being home for work and family reasons. He has nowhere to escape after the full onset of the "Family Invasion". If it weren’t for Taylor and Becca Bee, I think Lukas might have tumbled into breakdown land. Lukas is sweet, intelligent, adores his husband and daughter, and oh such wonderful father material, too!
Taylor’s parents are still alive and in the United States. Lukas’s mother and father have moved to Paris, but his sister, brother and sister-in-law are stateside. Rebecca’s first Christmas will not only be with her two fathers, but one set of grandparents, one uncle, and two aunts. She seems to deal with the population explosion best of all. Of course, she is only ten weeks old and her very presence is a Christmas gift to all the folks sharing her home for this holiday. I totally recommend everyone adding to the 'Holiday Invasion' as I did and celebrating the best Christmas ever!
