Embracing destiny was never meant to be easy…

Morgan can’t figure out where he belongs anymore now that a new world has emerged in the aftermath of the Alasharian invasion of Earth. Everything is too strange and frightening and all he wants to do is hide from it all. It doesn’t help to ease his confusion when he finds himself being drawn to not one, but two hunky aliens.

Chris experiences a terrifying vision from the Soul Healer and it becomes clear that both Alasharian and humans are running out of time to save the Earth from the insidious spread of the Void. A battle is imminent and it becomes imperative to protect those who are allied against the evil that has corrupted the Nall.

Everything on Earth is about to change once again and Morgan finds himself at the brink of discovering his own destiny—and how the two aliens he can’t get out of his heart are part of his fate. Then, a disturbing event triggers the beginning of the fight against the Void. Chris and Morgan must separate for the first time since the invasion, with each of them going with their soul matches. For Morgan, he hopes the goodbye he says to Chris isn’t forever.

Book Review

The first two books (that definitely need to be read before this volume) set the scene for an overarching threat to both Earth and Alashar, the planet that is home to the aliens who have conquered Earth and have made the male humans who survived into sex slaves. Chris, bonded to Nary and Lasar, has begun to discover more details about the danger that has driven the Alasharians to find a new home, and in this third book, it is up to Chris’s cousin, Morgan, to find out what role he plays in the all-out war for the existence of both species. And he has to deal with all of it while being in the middle of finding his own two soul matches. Talk about a stressful situation!

Rama may be a war commander in charge of keeping the conquered humans under control, but he has his doubts about the viciousness with which the Alasharians invaded the planet. He is honorable and a good ally for Lasar, Nary and Chris – once he has been convinced that his thoughts are not treason to his own species. He knows he is supposed to take Morgan as a slave, mostly for protection, but he is a little older, has already lost a lover, and wants peace and quiet rather than a human slave. But this whole list of reasons crumbles to pretty much nothing when he actually meets Morgan.

Morgan is painfully shy, not at all as pushy and forward as Chris. He is scared to death of having to go with Rama and being separated from Chris, but he knows it’s the only way he will be protected from the “bad” Alasharians out to destroy humans. Morgan has no idea what to expect, what the rules are, and even though Rama makes it clear that he is not interested in sex, Morgan has no way of knowing if that is true. His initial fear of the powerful alien is debilitating, and it takes quite a while for Morgan to begin considering to trust his new owner.

Hallosh is the third male in this soul match, and while he is the official advisor for the supreme commander of the aliens, he does not agree with what the Alasharians have done. He is one of the few men who can be trusted as those against the Void get organized. He saved Morgan from the explosion in the previous book and has felt a strange attraction ever since. Something he vehemently denies – until he is summoned by Lasar and sees both Morgan and Rama in person.

Morgan, Hallosh, and Rama are not looking for a soul match. Morgan is too scared, Hallosh doesn’t particularly want one, and Rama actively denies he is lonely. Then there is the fact that triads are not what Alasharians are used to – except for Lasar, Nary, and Chris. There is no hesitance once they are all together, and their bonding is super-hot. But there are political issues to be dealt with and an enemy to fight, so they don’t have a lot of time together.

So far, humans have been fighting Alasharians and vice versa, but as Chris’s discoveries and his additional visions show, there is a much bigger enemy out there – the Void. Some Alasharians have already been taken over, and those who want freedom will have to do everything they can to fight back. It’s a huge undertaking, and the events in this novel are just the beginning.

If you like your science fiction with a healthy dose of mystery, powerful emotions, and unraveling secrets, if a looming battle of epic proportions is your thing, and if you’re looking for a read that is suspenseful, intriguing, and full of revelations, then you will probably like this novel. I am definitely looking forward for what else is to come!
